1. Catholic beliefs in the “Last Things” help us better understand the mystery of human suffering and death by at our death we are judged according to our life here on Earth and our sins. It is said that nothing defile will enter heaven, so we have to experience Purgatory and the Mercy of God before we can be in his presences. Here on Earth we have to experience suffering and death, we have to show Mercy as we expect to experience Mercy our self.

The last things have shown to have to experience Purgatory here on Earth. But our sufferings can be redemptive. God is Merciful and suffered for our sins, he died on the cross for our sins. We too can show Mercy and compassion for others as we open ourselves to God's redemptive love.
3. As Catholics we believe that our immortal souls, at death will not die, but live in the eternal presence of he God almighty. We are made of body and soul and the soul will never die. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. He must treat with respect for we are dust and to dust we shall return.
